Pastor - Wife Retreat

On Nov. 11-12, 2011, we held our second annual Pastor-Wife Retreat in Beautiful Ocean Grove, NJ.There were nine churches represented on this great Fall weekend!We enjoyed ocean front accommodations at the Shawmont Hotel, and our workshops were hosted a short distance away by Pastor Guy Florival, at First French Speaking Baptist Church of Asbury Park.
After everyone registered and settled into their hotel rooms, we all went to the SeaGrass Restaurant in Ocean Grove, for a sumptuous meal and joyful time of fellowship.Following dinner, Rev. Paul and Joy Vander Vliet led our Workshop time on Friday night.Paul is the pastor of Hope Baptist Church in Flanders, NJ, he is a college professor, and a Christian Counselor.Saturday morning we gathered for breakfast at the hotel as we gazed over the Atlantic Ocean.Then we finished our time together that morning with two more workshops that were an encouragement and blessing to our Pastors and wives.The cost was only $65 per couple and the rest was scholarshiped by NJNet, the Baptist Convention of New York, and through anonymous donors.Thank you!
It was a great time for our Pastors and wives to fellowship with other ministry couples, and to enjoy some personal time of rest and rejuvenation. We hope to see you next time!Praise the Lord!”
